Bloodstock Festival 2025 Sells Out In Record Time

Updated: Oct 15

Have you guys ever been to a festival that feels like home? And I mean really feels like home? Well I have, and that is Bloodstock Open Air in Catton Park, Derbyshire. To me, it’s simply the best heavy metal festival that the UK has to offer.

Why?

  • The lineup - it's always STACKED. Enough said.

  • The size - It’s much smaller than Download, meaning less people, closer stages and less time spent walking to and from the tent.

  • The people - I have met some of the nicest people at Bloodstock, whether that be at the campsite, in the crowds or at the tattoo tent.

  • The organisers - every year they go above and beyond to make the festival one to remember. But my favourite thing ever is that it’s family run.

  • Fans above money - in a world where festivals all over the place are doing the most to rinse their fans, Vicky Hungerford has taken to TikTok to reassure fans that Bloodstock will not be going down that path. The team wants to keep the small family vibe more than anything. And that is music to my ears.

With all that in mind, it will come as no surprise that Bloodstock have SOLD OUT their 2025 weekend tickets in record time. Yup, that’s right. They sold out before the end of 2024. And to be honest, I’m really not shocked - their 2025 line up is already stacked with incredible bands.

Headliners Trivium, Machine Head and Gojira cover the metalcore and prog metal fans, while Emperor, Kublai Khan TX and Obituary have got black metal, hardcore and death metal covered. There is such a great mix of subgenres already, that I can’t wait to see who else they’ve booked!

If this looks good to you, don’t worry if you didn’t manage to get a ticket, they will be releasing a limited number of weekend day tickets as soon as the day line ups have been finalised - keep an eye on Bloodstock's socials to make sure you don’t miss any announcements. Because trust me, you don’t want to miss this.
