What’s better than one brutal slamming death metal vocalist? Two. Double the growls, double the carnage. And with Organectomy’s new single, Plague Mouth, you’re in for a real treat - not only do you get frontman Alex Paul’s intense gutturals, but you also get the savage pipes of Sanguisugabogg’s Devin Swank. Honestly, it’s the crossover we never knew we needed.

Hailing all the way from New Zealand (I’m in the UK, so that’s literally on the other side of the world), Organectomy have been at the forefront of the country’s slam and death metal scene since 2010. Their unique sound is a lethal cocktail of melodic, brutal, old school, atmospheric and technical death metal, all wrapped up in the grimy embrace of slam. The result? Pure brutality. Of the heavily twisted kind.

Now, throw Swank into the mix and you’ve got a death metal dream team. Sanguisugabogg have been making heavy metal waves since 2019 and thanks to TikTok have been thrust into every metalhead's eardrums. Formed in Columbus, Ohio, the Bogg take the raw aggression of the hardcore scene and blends it with the bone-crunching heaviness of 90s East Coast death metal. Known for his ear-splitting sound and pretty gross humour - seriously, if you’ve been to a Sanguisugabogg show then you’ll know what I’m talking about - Devin Swank is just plain brutal.

So, before you press play on Plague Mouth, make sure your speakers and eardrums are ready for a good old fashioned beating. Don’t forget to turn the volume all the way up to 11…
